New EU Call for Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) Funding
The new EU Call for research, development, and innovation (RDI) funding, aimed at co-financing research activities at technology readiness levels (TRL) 1-4 (up to prototype development level), is currently underway until the end of August 2023. This call seeks to support collaborative industrial research projects conducted by consortia composed of applicants and one or more partners, with at least one research organization and one company in the consortium.
Eligible applicants include micro, small, medium, and large companies, as well as research organizations (e.g., universities/institutes). Non-repayable grants range from a minimum of 500,000.00 EUR to a maximum of 1,500,000.00 EUR, representing the maximum amount of non-repayable support.
The project duration can range from 18 to a maximum of 36 months, and the support intensities (for specific costs) can reach up to 100% for small companies.
Eligible costs for companies include: costs of research, technical, and administrative personnel employed and newly hired by the company to work on project implementation; costs of external research services; costs of knowledge and patents; costs of depreciation of instruments and equipment necessary for project implementation; costs of materials and small inventory for project needs; costs of fees paid to intellectual property offices; costs of external services for market analysis, feasibility studies, development of commercialization studies or plans, costs of attending project-related events; costs of project management services; costs of disseminating research and development project results, etc.
