The call Support to Enterprises for the Transition to an Energy and Resource Efficient Economy for 2024 (Potpora poduze\u0107ima za tranziciju na energetski i resursno u\u010dinkovito gospodarstvo za 2024. godinu, known as TERUG) was published on 6 June 2024. Instead of 15 July, intake started on 13 September 2024 at 11:00, and after two extensions the deadline expired on 30 June 2025 at 11:00. The call is closed. Current calls are tracked in our guides <a href=\"https:\/\/omniasolutions.hr\/en\/eu-grants-businesses-croatia-2026\/\">EU grants for businesses 2026<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/omniasolutions.hr\/en\/business-incentives-croatia-2026\/\">Business incentives and upcoming calls 2026<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In June 2024 a call was published for funding to improve businesses on their way to an efficient economy. Its budget was <strong>EUR 145 million<\/strong>, and it worked on a <strong>first-come, first-served basis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As companies play a key role in the transformation towards a green future, the European Union continued to strongly encourage the green transition of the economy in 2024, and <strong>this call was expected to fund at least 250 projects of SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) and 40 projects of mid-capitalisation companies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What are the grant amounts?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>EUR 70,000.00 to 995,000.00 for SMEs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>EUR 265,000.00 to 4,645,200.00 for mid-capitalisation companies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The purpose of the call was to encourage investment in companies in energy-intensive industries<\/strong>, and accordingly, the investments planned through the projects must contribute to achieving at least one of the following objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Promoting <strong>the circular economy by introducing resource efficiency <\/strong>into the production cycle and the product life cycle, including the sustainable supply of primary and secondary raw materials;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Decarbonisation and reducing emissions from energy-intensive industries<\/strong> and introducing innovative low-emission technologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What are the conditions for applying?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The applicant must have at least <strong>10 employees<\/strong> (FTE) in 2023<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant must have <strong>reported a positive EBITDA <\/strong>in 2023<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant must have <strong>a share of energy costs in revenue ei=\u22652.00%<\/strong> (calculation formula: ei=AOP262\/(AOP128+AOP129)*100) in 2023<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In 2023, the applicant must have reported <strong>operating revenue of at least 50%<\/strong> <strong>of the total project value<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In 2023, the applicant must have <strong>a share of capital and reserves in total liabilities of at least 15%.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The activities are carried out within sector <strong>C Manufacturing <\/strong>(NKD 2007):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>10<\/td><td>Manufacture of food products<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>11<\/td><td>Manufacture of beverages<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>13<\/td><td>Manufacture of textiles<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>14<\/td><td>Manufacture of wearing apparel<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>16<\/td><td>Manufacture of wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>17<\/td><td>Manufacture of paper and paper products<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>18<\/td><td>Printing and reproduction of recorded media<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>20<\/td><td>Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>21<\/td><td>Manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>22<\/td><td>Manufacture of rubber and plastic products<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>23<\/td><td>Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>24<\/td><td>Manufacture of basic metals<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>25<\/td><td>Manufacture of fabricated metal products<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>28<\/td><td>Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>31<\/td><td>Manufacture of furniture<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>According to the original announcement, projects were to be accepted from <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">15 July 2024.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Manufacturing companies investing in energy savings can today use the <a href=\"https:\/\/omniasolutions.hr\/en\/hbor-energy-efficiency-loan-2026\/\">HBOR energy efficiency loan<\/a> of up to EUR 3 million, with a write-off of up to 50% of the principal that we explained in the article on the <a href=\"https:\/\/omniasolutions.hr\/en\/capital-rebate-hbor-loan-principal-write-off\/\">capital rebate<\/a>. The call <a href=\"https:\/\/omniasolutions.hr\/en\/process-innovation-s3-areas-pk-1-3-11\/\">Process Innovation in S3 Areas (PK.1.3.11)<\/a> accepts applications until funds run out and no later than 31 December 2026.
